The ultimate backyard classics, though these offer a subtle twist on the traditional hamburgers and hot dogs that many turn to without thinking! Grill up a piece of fresh fish and slip it onto a toasted bun with your favorite sauce and condiments, just as you would a hamburger. Many fishmongers now offer freshly made fish patties and/or seafood sausages or fresh frozen Simply Seafood®Boneless Wild North Atlantic Cod, Boneless Wild Alaska Pollock, Boneless Farm-Raised Tilapia, Boneless Wild Keta Salmon portions or fillets as well as Nelson Crab® Dungeness premium, hand-packed crab meat for sausage all perfect for a simple, crowd-pleasing meal.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. (You should be able to hold your hand 6 inches over the cooking surface for 3 to 4 seconds.) Oil the grill rack and seafood lightly and cook the seafood until opaque through, about 4 to 6 minutes, turning once. (Note: cooking times will vary according to seafood size and shape.) Serve the grilled seafood on toasted buns with sauce and desired garnishes and condiments.
